NCO 2025 Workshop Programme

In December 2025, NUS CeNCE conducted a 10-day face-to-face workshop designed to equip aspiring contestants with the foundational skills needed to excel in the National Cybersecurity Olympiad (NCO).

Workshop Overview

This comprehensive training programme covered essential cybersecurity domains through a carefully structured curriculum that balanced theoretical concepts with hands-on practice. Participants gained practical experience across seven core areas:

  1. Python Programming Language
  2. C Programming Language
  3. Introduction to Information Security
  4. Cryptography
  5. Web Exploitation
  6. Reverse Engineering
  7. Binary Exploitation

The workshop employed a dynamic blend of theoretical lectures and practical Capture The Flag (CTF) challenges, ensuring participants could immediately apply their knowledge in realistic scenarios. Students worked through progressively challenging problems, developing both technical competency and problem-solving resilience essential for competitive cybersecurity.

Under the guidance of experienced instructors and mentors, participants built a strong technical foundation while cultivating the analytical mindset required for success in the NCO and beyond.
